SYNOPSIS: Do we focus to much on the law? Does the church focus to much on grace and freedom? What does MESSIAH YESHUA say about this subject? Mat 23:23 "Woe to you hypocritical Torah-teachers and P'rushim! You pay your tithes of mint, dill and cumin; but you have neglected the weightier matters of the Torah—justice, mercy, trust. These are the things you should have attended to—without neglecting the others! This is our key verse for today. This verse has 6 different sections we will study today.

Rom 7:7 Therefore, what are we to say? That the Torah is sinful? Heaven forbid! Rather, the function of the Torah was that without it, I would not have known what sin is. For example, I would not have become conscious of what greed is if the Torah had not said, "Thou shalt not covet."

TORAH: G3551 νόμος nomos Thayer Definition: 1) a law or rule producing a state approved of God 2) by the observance of which is approved of God 3) a precept or injunction 4) the rule of action prescribed by reason 5) of the Mosaic law, and referring, acc. to the context. either to the volume of the law or to its contents
JUSTICE: G2920 κρίσις krisis Thayer Definition: 1) a trial, contest 2) selection 3) judgment 4) sentence of condemnation, damnatory judgment, condemnation and punishment

Mic 6:8 Human being, you have already been told what is good, what YEHOVAH demands of you—no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.
