1038 Three dark days

 

Scripture: Sh’mot (Ex) 10:21-29 why the three days.

 

SYNOPSIS: Could the plagues that happened in Egypt of been stopped before they ever happened? What insight do the 400 years in captivity tell us? What does that have to do with plague 9 and 10? What does that have to do with the scepter of a king?

VERSES: Sh’mot (Ex) 10:21-29 why the three days. Sh’mot (Ex) 13:8-15 why are we telling “the tell”. B’resheet (Gen) 12:1-3 YEHOVAH makes a promise that cannot be broken. Sh’mot (Ex) 10:21-29 why the three days.

Exo 10:22  Moshe reached out his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in the entire land of Egypt for three days.

Sh’mot (Ex) 13:8-15 why are we telling “the tell”.

Exo 13:11  When YEHOVAH brings you into the land of the Kena`ani, as he swore to you and your ancestors, and gives it to you, 

 

B’resheet (Gen) 12:1-3 YEHOVAH makes a promise that cannot be broken.

Gen 12:1  Now YEHOVAH said to Avram, "Get yourself out of your country, away from your kinsmen and away from your father's house, and go to the land that I will show you. 

 

B’resheet (Gen) 47:1-11 the famine is worldwide.

Gen 47:1  Then Yosef went in and told Pharaoh, "My father and brothers have come from the land of Kena`an with their flocks, livestock and all their possessions; right now they are in the land of Goshen."

Gen 15:13  YEHOVAH said to Avram, "Know this for certain: your descendants will be foreigners in a land that is not theirs. They will be slaves and held in oppression there four hundred years.

Sh’mot (Ex) 1:8-11 the one man pattern and prophecy.

Exo 1:8  Now there arose a new king over Egypt. He knew nothing about Yosef 

Exo 1:9  but said to his people, "Look, the descendants of Isra'el have become a people too numerous and powerful for us. 

 

NUMEROUS POWERFUL/MIGHTIER: H6099 עצם / עצוּם ‛âtsûm BDB Definition: 1) mighty, vast, numerous 2) mighty, strong (in number) 3) numerous, countless

Sh’mot (Ex) 6:2-8 YEHOVAH confirms the reason.

Exo 6:4  Also with them I established my covenant to give them the land of Kena`an, the land where they wandered about and lived as foreigners. 

 

Ref. Gen 47:1  Then Yosef went in and told Pharaoh, "My father and brothers have come from the land of Kena`an with their flocks, livestock and all their possessions; right now they are in the land of Goshen."

B’resheet 40:12-19 three days.

Gen 40:12  Yosef said to him, "Here is its interpretation: the three branches are three days. 

Gen 40:13  Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your office: you will be giving Pharaoh his cup as you used to when you were his cupbearer. 

Gen 40:14  But remember me when it goes well with you; and show me kindness, please; and mention me to Pharaoh, so that he will release me from this prison. 

Gen 40:15  For the truth is that I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and here too I have done nothing wrong that would justify putting me in this dungeon." 

Gen 40:16  When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Yosef, "I too saw in my dream: there were three baskets of white bread on my head. 

Gen 40:17  In the uppermost basket there were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds ate them out of the basket on my head." 

Gen 40:18  Yosef answered, "Here is its interpretation: the three baskets are three days. 

Gen 40:19  Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head from off of you—he will hang you on a tree, and the birds will eat your flesh off you." 

 

Exo 10:22 

 

Ref. Jon 2:1  YEHOVAH prepared a huge fish to swallow Yonah; and Yonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights. 

 

Sh’mot (Ex) 12:29-32 The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn.

Exo 12:29  At midnight YEHOVAH killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh sitting on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.
