THIS EPISODE: RAMBLINGS AROUND THE KITCHEN TABLE 0001 NO ARMOR. The discussion began casually on the topic of the apparent transformation of media hosts and personalities Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson. Both of them came to prominence through the rapidly growing conservative Christian division of the political Right after the 2020 Presidential election. We remember them frequently featured at public events such as the Re-Awaken America tours, the Blexit campaign, and ultimately the MAGA rallies. In addition, both of them had publically given testimonies of their fairly recent spiritual transformation, becoming Christians. Candace more recently and candidly chronicled her journey toward being converted to Catholicism.

Rather quickly, we began probing for the process by which these people seemed to have changed so dramatically to become antithetical to the heart and core values of the groups and causes that launched them to prominence and respect. How is it that they began seeking out public figures who were openly anti-MAGA, anti-Trump, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic?

We talked about the avalanche of reactions from podcasters and political thinkers to perhaps gain some insight. In particular, prominent conservative broadcasters, Dinesh D’Souza and Victor Davis Hanson (both of whom profess to be Christians and both staunch supporters of Israel}

As to be expected, we realized that the underpinnings of this “pubic transformation” were deeply spiritual. In an effort to better understand more of the details, we compared our own paths and journeys toward salvation in Messiah Yeshua. And then applied those insights to what we have observed with Tucker and Candace. Adding to the discernments, we referred back to Scripture to evaluate Mr. Hanson’s and Mr. D’Souza’s analysis. This evaluation included an acknowledgement that Candace and Tucker have been swept up in the fulfillment of prophecy going on right now – a situation for which they were not spiritually prepared.

This session wandered a rambling road addressing a variety of side topics such as
• the importance of having correct expectations that align with YHVH’s will and His plans
• the interesting and very personal ways YHVH uses to awaken and call individuals to Himself
• the importance of expecting, looking for and acknowledging the real changes that one’s life with Yeshua brings
